This is a matrix of two sources. Source 1 - tracks 1-7: FM Broadcast > Akai boombox (tuner)/Sony amplifier/Marantz tapedeck > Type-I Cassette (Master) > Denon DR-M24H (Azimuth Calibrated) > NGWave (.wav@16/44.1)) > CDR > TLH (.flac lv.8) The very first show of the F&J/Megadeth tour in England and Europe. Comments of the guy who shared the recording: "This was broadcast on rock broadcasting legend Tommy Vance's BBC Radio programme The Friday Rock Show. They opened for Megadeth, who were also broadcast. Taped live from the radio by myself. I used to run the tuner on my Akai boombox through my Sony amp and record on a Marantz tapedeck, (I forget the models, although I still have and use my old Marantz turntable! They don't make 'em like that anymore...). Only a normal bias tape, as I was always pushed for cash....The sound is pretty darn good! There's a little FM noise here and there, but nothing major. Newstead had of course left the band by this point, so you get interim bassist Michael Spencer instead, (Troy Gregory hadn't yet joined, and didn't stay too long. We talked to him before Prong played a few years ago in Newcastle, and he told us F'n'J were the biggest joke he'd ever played with, basically he called them all idots! Either way, those 1st two LP's have a place in my heart...)." Source 2 - track 8: Originally taped directly from FM source by Kips1963. Shared by sjef1967. To me the first source sounded better than the other one so I just mixed in the last track into the first source. And now it looks like the recording represents the full set.
