Jacob's comments: "Another show from the vault of my recent tapes. And this one is actually very entertaining - in a metal way of course. HAIL! is a covers band originally formed by Time 'Ripper' Owens, Andreas Kisser and David Ellefson. The latter quit the band to reunite with Megadeth and was replaced by Paul Gray (RIP). Everyone thought they would cancel the European leg of the tour after Paul's passing, however, they decided to carry on and joined forces with James Lomenzo (White Lion, Freak of Nature, Megadeth). There were loads of technical glitches throughout the show but the band didn't seem to bother and simply had fun on stage. This is as relaxed and fun as a metal show can get. Lots of great covers, all played amazingly well. Tim does a fantastic job on absolutely all of the songs. The recording is loud and totally in-your-face. No talkers, whistlers or screamers near me, so this makes an enjoyable listen."
The recording is indeed plain great! I wish I could attend the gig...
