The 30th Anniversary Tour. The kick-off date! I must say I have never been a great listener of RUSH, but this show made me realize what a fabulous band they are. Amazing 3-hour setlist that makes every fan happy! The quality of the recording is great!! A must-have for all RUSH fans. Here's the comments I found in the internet: The setlist remained the same throughout the tour, the first time this had occured since the Hold Your Fire tour. Every album other than Presto was represented. Rather than doing an oldies medley before the encore as on past tours, the very first six songs were an instrumental medley with each segment lasting approximately 1-1:30 each titled "R30 Overture". These first six songs, and the following seventh song, are from the first seven albums played in chronological order. Counting "R30 Overture" as one song, there were 30 songs played. "Animate" was slightly rearranged for this tour: in the studio version the opening chorus is sung in full; for the R30 version the chorus is broken up such that the first half is sung at the beginning of the song and the second half after the first verse (it is sung in full after the fourth verse). "Red Barchetta" was the original arrangement, versus the 'pop' version played on tour in the 90's. "Between The Wheels" was played for the first time since the Power Windows warm-up tour. For the first time ever, "Grand Finale" was included in the "2112" medley and "Working Man" concluded with a reggae ending (as opposed to a reggae intro to "Working Man" which was last played during the Moving Pictures tour). Continuing the practice begun on the Vapor Trails tour, each night Alex performed a unique "rant" during "La Villa Strangiato", and at the end of "The Trees" he played a bit of The Beatles' "I Feel Fine" followed by "Day Tripper" (in 1990, when asked what songs inspired him to play guitar, he began with "Well, I remember hearing the beginning of 'I Feel Fine' by the Beatles. There's a little bit of feedback that rings out in the beginning, and I thought that was the coolest thing I've ever heard" [laughs].
