Very good recording! J. did a very good job in an sold-ouyt overcrowded club! His comments: 'As I came in Diamond Head had started playing so I didn't bother recording an incomplete set...I thought their sound was good, clear and al...not very loud though and I roamed the club to search for THE place to stand during the MEGA-show...as always, a couple drum beats were given when the stage was set for MEGADETH...I had this feeling before and I started to worry because it was so darn incredibly LLLLOUD-DER than the previous set...I usually trust those feeling and I was right...when the intro started you couldn't hear anything clear because it was too loud and the mix was shite...Daves vox was buried yet it managed to peak and saturate my level which I intended to reduce...a mis-handling eventually cut the recorder before the solo during "Blackmail the Universe"...you must of noticed it, that's just when Dave says "Blackmail the Universe..."...so from there the level is lower, well it dropped from 13 to 11...in the meantime, I had managed to talk to the sound guy via signs to let him know that the sound was not quite good...and he understood me and did his best to correct it cos after a couple more songs he knocked on my shoulder to ask me if it was better hehe... this guy is Bruce Reuter, his pic is in the tour programme ;) yes, I had ended recording the show from before the soundboard, which I didn't notice at first hand because it was not dead center...that's better for stereo anyway...only thing I did is normalizing to avoid level difference between first track and the rest...
The highlists of the show is definitely - She-Wolf and Return to Hangar brought into the setlist just couple days before! FABULOUS audience chanting on ATLM!
