... And Bootlegs For All

Megadeth - Live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2012

Venue: Estadio Cubierto Malvinas Argentinas: Buenos Aires, Argentina (Killing Machine)
 Date: September 14, 2012
 Time: 63:22/46:04
 Size: 2 CDs

Sound: A/A+, SBD/FM, copy from Silver 2CD-Rs, Spider
Notes: There are three sources of this gig at the moment. All of them are coming from Rock am Pop FM Broadcast: 1) recorded by Defender4, 2) Silver CDs released by Lost & Found, 3) Silver CDs released by Spider. After comparing all of them I decided to have the latter – it’s louder and more FM sounding to me. It still has quite some echoing/phasing but it’s the way the gig was broadcast I assume. Now as for the show itself – it was historical in some ways since it features the first surfaced bootleg live recordings of Architecture of Aggression/ Psychotron and Captive Honour. It's been 20+ years these songs remained unplayed. Although it was not the first time they were played, this recording features the first live capture. But the downside of it (as many if not all Rock am Pop broadcasts recordings) is it heavily marred by DJs talking over Dave's chatting/songs etc. It's their job and evidently they have to do so. Anyways, it's still great to have the FM capture of this gig. And of course Argentinian crowd is simply amazing!
