Thanx to my mega-friend Chris for finilly coming up with the final version of this gig. Source 1: Audience dvd-r rip (Rozi's version), Source 2: Unknown audience (tracks 1, 2 & 16 - Rob). Here are Chris’ comments: “This is the most complete version to surface so far! with correct date and venue! The Berkeley, CA, 4/18/84 and Keystone, CA 4/15/84 affair is now closed. We all know that in fact, it's different recordings of the same show - one is incomplete - but where and when was it? First, there's no such place as Keystone, CA: it's not a town but the name of a venue: The Keystone. But in which town? Cause the Keystone family had clubs in Berkeley, Palo Alto and San Francisco. The San Francisco's one was called the Stone, while the 2 others were called Keystone clubs. By luck, I’ve put my hands on a longer dvd version (+2 minutes / thanxxx Rozi) of the incomplete version which only starts with "Chosen ones". I've discovered that these 2 minutes are in fact an announcement made by a guy from the club. Here's what he says: "We would like to thank you to coming to the Keystone, remind you can see Megadeth tomorrow night in Palo Alto and Wednesday night at the Stone in San Francisco. Thank you for coming to the Keystone in Berkeley". This announce is partially or fully cut in all audios (full or not) and other DVD I've checked. We know that Palo Alto 's date was April 16th (confirmed) and the San Francisco show @the (Key)Stone was on April 18th (not on April 20th - thanxx Felix ;-)) so this one is definitely Berkeley on April 15th." The sound quality is quite good taken into consideration the age of this recording! It seems like tracks 1, 2 & 16 taken from the alternative source are slightly sped up. And yes Kerry King plays the second axe here! It's so unusual to hear the way the songs sounded back then! Amazing!
