Notes: May 2015 Update. Taper: Stef. Rig: WM D6C Sony + Aiwa CM30. Lineage: Analog Master Tapes > CD-R > Wav > Adobe Audition CC > FLAC.
I'd call it Stef Master Series. The story is that my good ol' mega collecting buddy Chris saw an ad in a local newspaper about a guy giving away his master tapes he did throughout 80-90s. Chris was persuasive and got the guy transfer his Megadeth masters to wav. I got this as 1 wav from Chris, adjusted volume in Adobe Audition, cut out unnecessary stuff and compared to the source of the show I've had for years.
This recording also turned out to be the same source I'd had for ages (I remember how psyched I was about finding it back then) and it is definitely an upgrade - way better sound - more bass, juicier sound.
Original info I had for the tape: the opening gig of the European Megadeth/Pantera tour show! Very unusual (though slight) changes of the setlist if compared with the show two days later in Paris. Great set - Wake Up Dead as a part of medley in the very end, Go to Hell etc etc...
